SHI YE ISLAND (Zhenjiang Island)
Located in the west suburb of Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province,Shiye Island is surrounded by the Yangtze River and is one of thelargest Islands at the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, withYangzhou City to the north across the river, the Island forms ashoe-shaped gold ingot with a length of 16.5 km, from east towest and 3.5km, from south to north. It covers a total area of 44sq.km. with a population of 14,200. Its river embankment line is26 km, in length and is fortifiled in accordance with 98 NationalStandard of 11 meters. The riverbed of Shiye Island is very stableand there has been no flood disaster in the past 100 years.
Shiye Island belongs to the monsoon humid climate of the subtropical zone, the annual sunshine hours amounts to 2150. the average temperature is 15.4 Celsius degree.. The annual rainfall is 1063.1 millimeters and the yearly non-frost period period lasts for 235 days. Far from industrial area, Shiye Island has beautiful country sight, no pollution, no noise, with fresh air and quiet environment. Surrounded by trees, birds and wild flowers, peaceful and natural, Shiye Island is an ideal ecological place for tourists.
The No.1 large bridge in China, Runyang River Road Bridge, pass though Shiye Island with a two-way road in connection with Island. The Island is connected with Shanghai-Nanjing, Nanjing-Hangzhou, and Zhenjiang-Lishui Expressways, 312 National Highway, Yanjiang road in the south and Nanjing-Nantong, Beijing-shanghai Expressways in the north. It is only 50-odd km. away from Nanjing airport and it takes less than 2.5 hours to Shanghai airport by car.the Island is meeting point between two city circles, namely, Shanghai and Nanjing. Proejct Description:
The project is to build on the island theme and leisure parks in order to serve the 79M inhabitants of Jiangsu Province, which is one of the prosperous Chinese provinces.
Supported by the Chinese central government, this multi billion project could be very attractive for leading investment funds.
Zhenjiang International Campus.
Zhenjiang (3M people) is one of the 13 cities of Jiangsu (79M people) which has the highest GDP per capita of all Chinese provinces. The city has recently significantly invested in big infrastructure projects and it is hosting Jiangsu University. Moreover Zhenjiang is one of China's busiest ports for domestic commerce, serving as a hub for trade between northern Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, and Shanghai.
Zhenjiang is inviting international schools to establish a branch university or campus in Zhenjiang. The region offer a significant demand of foreign education programs.
